Links to the District/State & National 2023 MIWW brochures and entry forms are below. Please note that most of the contests require both the National and the SD forms to be submitted (*Young Sewer (age 7 and under - only SD forms required).
District winners in all categories advance to the SD state MIWW contest. First place Junior and Senior contestants advance to represent SD in person at the National MIWW contest. One Adult winner will also be chosen to advance to National competition. All district and state participants will receive wool fabric &/or prizes at each level of competition.
State only contest entry forms are located on the State competition tab (Recycled Item, Quilt/Afghan/Novelty, and Signature Wool Challenge).
FAQ:
How can I be certain my fabrics/yarn are wool?
Send samples to the state director for testing. Testing is $3/sample for MIWW contestants. Fabric samples should be 5x5 square in size and yarn samples must be at least 18 inches in length.
Send entry forms and fabric samples at least 2 weeks prior to your district contest to:

MIWW ~ District Competition
Incentive Fabric for New MIWW Participants
Wool fabric has been donated by past MIWW contestants and area fiber artists to be given away at no cost to new MIWW contestants - of any age! If you have never entered the MIWW contest, but would like to get involved, you can choose a piece of wool fabric from the "Incentive Stash" to use for your first MIWW project! This wool has already been tested for the contest too!
